Cinematic Celebrations: Rajinikanth Honored at IFFI's Spectacular Closing

The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) concluded with resounding success as superstar Rajinikanth was bestowed the prestigious lifetime achievement award for his prolific 50-year career in cinema. The honor was presented by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant during the event's star-studded closing ceremony.
Celebrated Vietnamese film "Skin of Youth" took home the top prize, recognized as the best film. IFFI celebrated other notable works and talents within the industry, including awards for Colombian actor Ubeimar Rios and Slovenian actress Jara Sofija Ostan.
The festival also paid tribute to artists who passed away this year and featured remarkable performances, including the traditional Yakshagana. Union Minister Dr. L Murugan praised IFFI for its growth and influence in promoting Indian cinema on a global stage, advocating for technological advancement in storytelling.
