In a heartbreaking event, a booth-level officer named Shobharani from Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh, passed away due to cardiac arrest on Saturday night, as confirmed by officials on Sunday.
The 56-year-old, who served as the BLO for booth number 97 in the Dhampur area, succumbed to her condition at a hospital in Moradabad. Her husband, Kripal Saini, revealed that Shobharani was a diabetes patient but stayed committed to her job, even working late into Friday night to upload Special Intensive Revision forms online. Her health severely declined later that night, resulting in her tragic passing.
District Programme Officer Vimal Chaubey and SDM Smriti Mishra informed that no work-related stress was involved, but her dual roles as a BLO and Anganwadi worker, along with personal commitments like her son's upcoming wedding, possibly contributed to her strain.
