The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has swiftly disbursed emergency financial assistance to those injured in a recent tractor accident at Sabarimala, offering support to devotees undergoing treatment at medical facilities across the state.

According to a statement from TDB issued on Wednesday, an amount of Rs 25,000 was provided to Lekavu Sunitha from Andhra Pradesh and Radhakrishnan from Pampadumpara in Idukki district, both receiving care at Kottayam Medical College. Veeramani, a devotee from Tamil Nadu, was granted Rs 10,000 for treatment at Konni Medical College.

Additionally, five devotees with minor injuries were given Rs 5,000 each as part of TDB's immediate support initiatives during the pilgrimage season. The accident occurred on December 13 when a tractor collided with pilgrims at Sabarimala.
