In a tragic accident in Surat's Adajan area, a family of three lost their lives in a horrifying scooter crash during the Uttarayan holiday. The police revealed that the family was on a holiday outing when their scooter hit the wall of a flyover, leading to their fatal fall.

The incident is suspected to have occurred when Rehan Sheikh, the rider, applied the brakes suddenly to avoid a kite string, according to Inspector R J Chaudhary of the Rander police station. Rehan, originally from West Bengal and employed in a local jewellery unit, was enjoying the festival with his wife Rehana and their 10-year-old daughter.

The collision happened at the turning of the 40-feet high Chandrashekhar Azad flyover. Rehan and his daughter lost their lives instantly, while Rehana succumbed to her injuries at the hospital the following day.
