In a significant move, Sony Pictures Networks India has announced a major leadership reorganization aimed at transforming the company into a content-driven, platform-agnostic, multi-lingual entertainment powerhouse. This shift, unveiled on Friday, signifies the company's commitment to a seamless consumer experience across linear and digital platforms.
Notable leadership changes include Nachiket Pantvaidya taking the helm of Sony Entertainment Television and movie production, while Ajay Bhalwankar will oversee Sony SAB and infotainment channels. This restructuring is expected to impact roles within the company, with possible job cuts numbering up to 120, though specifics are said to be finalized in the coming weeks.
SPNI is also reinforcing its revenue streams by consolidating key sectors such as ad sales and distribution, under Chief Revenue Officer Rajesh Kaul. Concurrently, digital strategies will receive direct oversight from Gaurav Banerjee, ensuring that the company's growth initiatives align with its new operational model.
