The newly raised Bhairav light commando battalion will make its debut at the upcoming Republic Day Parade on January 26, where key Army assets, including indigenous platforms, will feature prominently in a phased battle array formation. Senior officials confirmed on Friday that this unique lineup is set to captivate spectators.

The parade's aerial component will showcase a range of aircraft including the Rafale, Su-30, and Apache helicopters, while transport aircraft like the C-130 will also make an appearance. This year marks several changes, including the absence of 'VVIP' labels for enclosures, which will instead honor Indian rivers and musical instruments.

Notably, the 77th Republic Day celebrations will pay homage to 'Vande Mataram', with backdrops featuring the National Song's opening stanzas. The event will host esteemed international guests, President Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister Antonio Costa, adding to the occasion's significance.
