In a tragic incident at the picturesque Sela Lake in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district, two tourists from Kerala lost their lives while attempting to save a fellow traveler.

The search operation, which was initially hampered by poor visibility, culminated in the recovery of their bodies on Saturday morning. The two deceased, identified as Dinu, 26, and Mahadev, 24, were part of a larger tourist group visiting the region.

Local authorities have since emphasized the dangers posed by the unstable ice at Sela Lake, urging visitors to exercise caution and adhere to warnings against venturing onto frozen waterbodies.
