A senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in Madhya Pradesh has urged madrasa students to read the Bhagavad Gita alongside the Quran, asserting that such a practice could 'enlighten their path.' The officer, Raja Babu Singh, addressed the students via video conference on Republic Day.
Speaking to students of a madrasa in Sehore district's Doraha village, Singh, the Additional Director General of Police (Training), emphasized the significance of environmental conservation, developing a scientific temper, and fostering tolerance among the students. He expressed his gratitude to the madrasa's maulana sahib, a long-time friend, for inviting him to speak.
Singh noted the importance of unity in India, stressing the need to maintain the country's integrity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Known for his past initiatives, Singh has previously engaged in promoting the recital of religious texts like the Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharitmanas among police trainees in Madhya Pradesh, advocating for a righteous life.
