In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police's Anti-Narcotics Squad (ANS) of the East District has successfully dismantled a drug supply network, apprehending two key individuals involved in the storage and distribution of commercial quantities of ganja, as part of its stringent zero-tolerance policy. The ANS team, acting on solid intelligence, arrested the accused and seized substantial quantities of ganja, cash, and packaging materials during the operation.

The incident unfolded on April 2, when credible information was received about large stockpiles of ganja maintained by two individuals, identified as Nadeem and Monu alias Abhishek, at a residence in Jawahar Mohalla, Shashi Garden. A swift raid at the location led to the discovery of the accused actively packaging the drug. Upon weighing the seized contraband, officials confirmed the recovery of 45 kilograms and 760 grams of ganja, classified as a commercial quantity.

A case was promptly registered at the Pandav Nagar police station under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspects. Ongoing investigations aim to unravel the broader drug distribution network, revealing that the accused were part of an organized drug syndicate sourcing ganja from outside Delhi and distributing it locally.

Further demonstrating steadfast action against crime, the Delhi Police's Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the Outer North District apprehended Aryan, a 22-year-old member of the infamous Sonu Dariyapur Gang. Aryan, who had been evading arrest since March 19, was caught near Jeet Farm on Narela Alipur Road. He was found in possession of a sophisticated 32 bore pistol and live cartridges, leading to his immediate arrest under the Arms Act.
