The Consulate General of India in Johannesburg, along with India Club, organized a key celebration at Radheshyam Temple in Sandton on Sunday.

While traditional Holi festivities occur on the Saturday after the Hindu calendar date for the working community's convenience, Johannesburg South's Hindu community has long celebrated on the actual day, preserving religious and cultural significance. Celebrations integrate dance, music, and traditional food, with a notable increase in youth participation, attracted by Bollywood-themed events.

Organizations like the Hindu Students Society at the University of the Witwatersrand and Uttar Pradesh Devbhumi Sanghatan engaged large crowds, offering experiences like Barsana-style Holi and cultural performances.
