The Supreme Court directed the Madhya Pradesh High Court to consider objections from the Muslim side about the archaeological survey of Bhojshala Temple-Kamal Maula Mosque. The court emphasized that objections regarding the survey must align with the principles of natural justice.

Advocate Salman Khurshid, representing the Maulana Kamaluddin Welfare Society, requested access to videography and photographs from the survey to substantiate their objections. The Supreme Court bench, consisting of Chief Justice Surya Kant and justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M. Pancholi, clarified that the High Court proceedings were not being interfered with.

The disputed site in Dhar is claimed by both Hindu and Muslim communities, with historical evidence suggesting it was originally a temple. The site's archaeological significance is underscored by findings from the ASI, indicating a large, ancient temple structure predated the current mosque.
