On World Autism Awareness Day, Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan called for collective national responsibility to empower persons with autism, promoting them as valued members of society.

Highlighting this year's UN theme, 'Advancing Neurodiversity and the Sustainable Development Goals,' he urged inclusive and sustainable developmental efforts.

While pointing to India's legislative framework, Radhakrishnan stressed that laws achieve their purpose only when they benefit all. He advocated for systemic action, including early diagnosis, inclusive education, and community awareness to bridge existing gaps.
