Hazbin Hotel's fifth and final season is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, delighting fans worldwide. The show follows Charlie, Hell's princess, on her quest to rehabilitate demons amidst humorous musical episodes. The series, praised for its originality, concludes Medrano's popular animated pilot from 2019.
The musical comedy series, Hazbin Hotel, has been renewed for a fifth and final season, as reported by Deadline. The series will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories. Hazbin Hotel, a show that follows the escapades of Charlie, the princess of Hell, explores her ambitious goal of rehabilitating demons to reduce overpopulation in her realm. Following a yearly extermination by angels, Charlie opens a hotel hoping its guests will transition to Heaven. While her vision is mocked by most, her steadfast partner, Vaggi, and their first subject, adult-film star Angel Dust, remain supportive. With the unlikely support of a powerful entity, the 'Radio Demon,' Charlie's seemingly impossible dream edges closer to reality.
Based on Vivienne Medrano's 2019 animated pilot, Hazbin Hotel quickly garnered a substantial fan base, amassing over 120 million views on YouTube. Deadline notes how the series fuses adult humor, unique characters, and compelling musical numbers to craft a distinct world. 'I'm so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I'm grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion,' Medrano expressed.
Medrano, who serves as the executive producer and director for all episodes, expressed excitement at seeing the story's conclusion and thanked Prime Video for their support. Dana Tafoya-Cameron also holds an executive producer role. Hazbin Hotel is produced by Oscar- and Emmy-winning A24 along with Fox Entertainment's Bento Box Entertainment. Melissa Wolfe, Head of Animation at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the series' impact: 'Hazbin Hotel has pushed the boundaries of adult animation through bold storytelling, vibrant artistry, and unapologetic heart. We're thrilled to give the series—and its fans—a fitting, unforgettable final chapter.'
