Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena announced the establishment of a control and command center to oversee security, traffic, and logistics for the upcoming sacred exposition of holy Buddha relics next month.
The event, featuring the rare Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha, will begin in Leh on May 1 and continue until May 14, offering devotees a chance to pay respects at various locations including Zanskar.
Security, logistical arrangements, and crowd management are emphasized, with special provisions for senior citizens and differently-abled visitors. The Ladakh Gonpa Association is leading spiritual preparations with prayer ceremonies across monasteries.
