Bong Joon Ho, the Oscar-winning filmmaker celebrated for his groundbreaking film 'Parasite', has announced an impressive voice cast for his highly anticipated animated feature 'Ally'. The cast includes Hollywood stalwarts such as Bradley Cooper, Ayo Edebiri, Dave Bautista, Finn Wolfhard, Rachel House, Alex Jayne Go, and Werner Herzog, highlighting Bong's appeal in attracting top-tier talent for his projects.

The exciting announcement was made on the opening day of the Cannes Film Festival, coinciding with Neon signing on to distribute the film in North American theaters in 2027. This development marks a reunion between Bong and Neon since their successful collaboration on the 2019 hit, 'Parasite'.

'Ally' is set to delve into the uncharted depths of the South Pacific Ocean, chronicling the journey of an ambitious piglet squid named Ally who dreams of reaching the ocean's surface and becoming a wildlife documentary star. However, the narrative takes a dramatic turn when a mysterious aircraft crashes into the ocean, disrupting her world and setting the stage for an extraordinary adventure alongside a cast of unlikely companions. Bong's exploration into 3D animation represents a new chapter in his illustrious directing career, with the film, produced by Seo Woo-sik, slated for completion in the first half of 2027.
