In a UN-hosted event named 'Ancient Trade Routes: The Journey of INSV Kaundinya,' co-organized by India's and Oman's permanent missions, leaders discussed the importance of ancient maritime ties during current global shipping route tensions, particularly the disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Speakers including Commodore Amit Srivastava and Commander Vikas Sheoran highlighted the strong marine history between India and Oman, emphasizing cultural exchange, innovation, and sustainable ocean management. The journey signals a nod to these shared histories and underlines a cooperative path forward.
