Anish Kapoor's Vibrant Return: A Dazzling Exhibition at Hayward Gallery

British artist Anish Kapoor returns to London's Hayward Gallery with an exhibition of striking new works alongside some iconic pieces from his past. The show marks a nostalgic return to the venue where Kapoor held his first solo exhibition in the UK nearly 30 years ago.

The exhibition features Kapoor's signature mirrored steel sculptures, void-like black creations, visceral paintings, and large installations, including the dramatic 'Mount Moriah at the Gate of the Ghetto.' New works, such as the expansive red pigment piece 'Ha Makom' and the imposing red PVC 'All of Nothing,' greet visitors.

Kapoor explores the interplay of object and non-object, using red to convey both celebration and darkness. The Hayward Gallery, part of the Southbank Centre, first hosted a major survey of his work in 1998. Kapoor reflects on his journey and evolution as an artist, emphasizing the significance of this 'coming home' moment in his career.
