Actor and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman launched the Fit Gurugram initiative and unveiled the campaign's jersey. He announced a Fit Gurugram Marathon, which will take place on October 4 at Cyber Hub, Gurugram. This event is a part of Fit Gurugram by Fortis Hospital Gurugram, a first-of-its-kind citywide health and wellness movement aimed at fostering a sustained culture of active living and preventive healthcare across the Millennium City.
The launch featured the unveiling of the Fit Gurugram campaign logo and official jersey, along with the premiere of its introductory teaser. According to the press note by Fortis Hospital, going beyond a one-time fitness event, Fit Gurugram has been conceptualised as a sustained community platform. It will bring together collaborations with sports and fitness influencers, community yoga sessions, HYROX-inspired functional fitness challenges, cycling rallies, corporate wellness initiatives, mental health sessions, cleanliness drives and preventive health screenings.
Through a specially recorded video message, Milind Soman, Brand Ambassador for Fit Gurugram, officially launched the initiative and unveiled the campaign jersey. Speaking about his association with the movement, he said, "Fitness is not defined by age, profession, or athletic ability; it begins with the decision to move and make health a daily priority. Fit Gurugram has the potential to bring an entire city together around this simple yet powerful idea. I am delighted to be associated with the movement and hope it inspires more Gurugram residents to take their first step, remain consistent and discover the joy of leading healthier, more active lives."
In a fast-paced corporate hub such as Gurugram, long working hours, sedentary lifestyles, and commute-related stress often push personal health into the background. Through a series of community-focused activities, Fit Gurugram seeks to inspire residents to make physical activity, mental well-being and preventive healthcare part of their everyday lives, as per the press note by Fortis Hospital.
