Mothers Day special: How Game of Thrones celebrates motherhood

If you are a Game of Thrones fan, you must have acknowledged how the show celebrates motherhood in its own unique way. The show is just 2 episode away from the conclusion and this Mother's Day, we are remembering the motherly connections in Game of Thrones.

Be it humans, hybrid wildlings and sometimes even fantasy out-of-the-world children (well, dragons!), their mothers love them all, without any discrimination.

Taking the example of Cersei, she loved all of her children to a great extent. Ignoring the cruelty of Joffrey, she always supported him and stood by her side. She was even ready to bring the wrath of destruction over the seven kingdoms for her children.

We all know how much Daenerys cares for her children, despite them being enormous out-of-the-world creatures (dragons again!) and her being a normal human with extraordinary affection for those dragons.

Catelyn Stark never held back from protecting and supporting her children. After getting the news that her husband Ned Stark has died, Catelyn put her sorrow aside and embraced her son Robb, motivating him to "kill them all."

Gilly risked her life to protect her child from a white walker, although Sam barged in and became the first man to kill a white walker, but Gilly never left the side of her newborn, despite staring at death standing right next to her.

Lyanna Stark, sister of Ned Stark and biological mother of Aegon Targaryen (better known as Jon Snow), asked her brother Ned to protect the secret that her child was born from her affair with Rhaegar Targaryen so that her newborn doesn't have to face the wrath of Robert Baratheon even when she knew that she will die from complications of her pregnancy.

Game of Thrones also had some funny moments displaying motherhood in odd ways. Lysa Arryn and her son, who is not weaned from his mother's breast even after turning 6. Tormund recently unveiled about her "Giant" mother in the 8th season.

Mothers, the most amazing superhuman beings who give birth to us, are special in every way and Game of Thrones knows how to respect the bond between a mother and her child, even if in their odd, but mostly a special way.
