PRISTIN disbands; paying tribute to girl group band by Pledis Entertainment

South Korean media has been reporting that the famous girl group, PRISTIN, is disbanding. According to the reports, the members and Pledis Entertainment held discussions over the last few days but ultimately decided on the disbandment of the group, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
The group was quite inactive from the last 2 years, no new album was released during the period.
Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Xiyeon, and Kyla have reportedly terminated their contracts with the Pledis Entertainment. But Kyulkyung, Yehana, and Sungyeon will continue to work with the agency
PRISTIN was initially a 10-member group which debuted in March 2017 and released two back-to-back mini albums. PRISTIN also won the Rookie Award from MAMA and Seoul Music Awards following their debut. Five members of PRISTIN previously promoted as unit group PRISTIN V in May 2018.
Previously, there were rumors of disbanding after member Kyla went on a hiatus in October 2017.
