The YouTube is full of content but the platform also brings a lot of challenges to young people only in which it offers to do something normally dangerous just to prove they can.

Below are few Challenges that went viral since last few years leading to the recent one that is Momo challenge.

Cinnamon

The challenge of cinnamon is found on YouTube since mid-2012. The operation is very simple, the person fills a spoon of cinnamon powder and swallows everything, preferably at once, and without any liquid to help. The taste of pure cinnamon is horrible and strong, and the challenger suffers and coughs very quickly. But the most serious problem is even if you inhale the cinnamon, which is not absorbed by the lungs and can cause serious respiratory problems.

Ice Bucket

This is nothing dangerous and still carries a beautiful message. The challenge of the ice bucket, or ice bucket challenge, is nothing more than filming throwing an extremely cold bucket of water at yourself. In the end, you challenge more people to do the same.

The purpose of all this was to make the public aware of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. It spawned in 2014 with golf player Chris Kennedy, who pledged a donation for research on the disease if the cousin, who was married to the ALS carrier, dumped the ice water on himself. The challenge involved such diverse celebrities, including Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates.

Charlie Charlie

The Charlie Charlie Challenge is a modern version of a Spanish game called Pencil Play. Basically, you write "yes" and "no" alternatives on a sheet of paper, balance two cross-shaped pencils, and ask questions. The answer, which would be given by a spirit, is where the object above moves.

It became a fever even in Brazil, with several YouTubers doing the invocation and students even going bad in schools. The film "The Gallows", 2015, took advantage of fashion and also launched a scene involving the challenge or was the creator of the game itself.

Mannequin

This is also totally harmless and generated great videos. The challenge of the mannequin began in November 2016, and the goal was to film scenes in which all the people present were still as if they were statues. There was nothing dangerous, just fun and creative. The background music usually used is "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd. It would have started with students from Florida in the United States, and also infected celebrities from the most diverse areas.

Tide pod challenge

A tide pod is a capsule that contains a liquid detergent inside, and the Procter & Gamble brand products really look sweet. But no one imagined that in 2018 there would be a challenge to see who would have the courage to eat these capsules and suffer the consequences.

The Association that handles cases of poisoning in the United States has registered at least 37 cases of people who swallowed pods in 2018 of their own volition. Complications range from stomach problems to breathing difficulties and burns due to chemical composition.

Momo

Momo is YouTube's latest challenge, it all started with the news that a mysterious number was adding people to WhatsApp and calling without a word. As a very cool animation of Mega Curioso has already explained, the name of the person in charge is Momo, and the photo is a disturbing sculpture called the birdwoman.

A lot of people are using this urban web legend to steal data from unsuspecting or even throw challenges like that of the blue whale. And a lot of people make videos of Momo's "challenge," which is to get in touch with this mystery directly and listen to what it has to say.
