Minister Mkhize to brief COGTA portfolio committee on municipalities that invested in VBS.

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Zweli Mkhize, will brief Parliament's CoGTA Portfolio Committee on Municipalities that invested in the VBS bank.

The briefing by Minister will look at the state of service delivery and finances of municipalities which invested in the VBS Mutual Bank.

Minister Mkhize has also been requested to outline measures in place to ensure that municipalities are transparent about their investments and that service delivery is not compromised as a result of lost investments deposited in VBS.
