Zomato Sets Record in First-Aid Training for Delivery Partners

Zomato has achieved a Guinness World Record by conducting the world's largest on-ground first-aid training programme for over 4,300 delivery partners. The event, attended by former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble, was aimed at equipping delivery partners with essential first-aid and CPR skills. CredAble also raised Rs 30 crore from SIDBI.

Online food delivery platform Zomato, with the assistance of more than 4,300 delivery partners, has shattered a Guinness World Record by organizing the largest on-ground first-aid training programme ever conducted.

The event, designed to equip delivery partners with vital medical first-aid and CPR skills through certified training, was a major success. Former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble was present at the event, held at Nesco, Goregaon, Mumbai.

''As part of our first responder's training programme, we have effectively trained over 30,000-plus delivery partners across 45 cities in medical assistance,'' Rakesh Ranjan, CEO of Food Delivery at Zomato, remarked.

In other news, Fintech firm CredAble has successfully secured Rs 30 crore in debt funding from SIDBI to expand its operations and offer affordable financing solutions to MSMEs and women-led businesses in India.

''This latest injection of capital from SIDBI will further bolster our efforts to strengthen the MSME sector and women-led businesses,'' said Manu Prakash, Managing Director at CredAble.
