Youth Hail Rajasthan Budget, Applaud Job Provisions and Development Projects

Thousands of youths gathered at Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's residence to express their gratitude after the presentation of Rajasthan's new budget. Enthused by the new policies, the youth congratulated Sharma for the comprehensive developmental initiatives and large number of job appointments announced.
Rajasthan's Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumari had presented the budget detailing an action plan developed by the BJP government under Amrit Kalkhand. The plan aims to transform Rajasthan into a developed state by 2047 with the provision of 4 lakh jobs in five years and the introduction of a new 'Youth Policy-2024,' which includes apprenticeships and AI-based counselling.
Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa praised this vision-oriented budget, stating it touches every section and region of the state. State Minister Rajyawardhan Rathore branded it as a budget for the overall development, highlighting initiatives in youth policies, start-ups, and skill development. Furthermore, the budget includes proposals for infrastructural development, basic amenities, heritage conservation, and electrification projects.
Key highlights include the development of nine 'Green Field Expressways' covering more than 2750 kilometres and the construction of a 53,000-kilometre road network with an estimated expenditure of Rs 60,000 crore. The budget sets the estimated revenue at Rs 2.64 lakh crore and expenditure at Rs 2.90 lakh crore for the financial year 2024-25.
The budget also allocates Rs 100 crore towards the development of the tourist and religious site Khatu Shyam. Investments in electrification, education, and the introduction of a new sports policy to promote athletic development were also announced.
