Delhi's Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj took part in a tree plantation drive on Friday, encouraging the public to plant trees to protect the environment. 'Students from schools around Greater Kailash are planting saplings. This experience will instill the importance of trees in their minds for life, particularly as Delhi battles 52-degree temperatures,' he stated.

Highlighting community involvement, Bharadwaj noted, 'About 600 students are here. Each planting one tree could mean 600 new trees. Our event continues.' Earlier, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced the drive runs from July 11 to August 9 at 30 locations across the city.

'Nearly two crore saplings were planted in four years. The monsoon has started, and from July 11 to August 9, tree plantations will occur at 30 locations. We urge public participation. Various agencies are involved in planting,' said Rai. He emphasized the Delhi government's success in meeting its five-year tree-planting target in just four years. In the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, students from Hillwoods Academy pledged to protect trees and the environment.
