Tragic Discovery: Body of 8-Year-Old Girl Found in Tirupati Forest

The body of an eight-year-old girl was discovered in Nelaballi forest area under Doravarisatram Mandal of Tirupati District, police reported on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Anika, was the daughter of Laluk from Patna, Bihar, who works at a nearby rice mill.
A goat herder alerted local residents about the body in the forest area. Subsequently, police arrived at the scene and examined the body. Authorities have sent the girl's body to Naidupeta Hospital for an autopsy. A case has been registered and an investigation is currently underway.
Tirupati District SP Subbarayudu disclosed that a team of 40 members has been employed at Dhanya Lakshmi Rice Mill in Doravarisathram village for the past two months. It is suspected that a co-worker lured the child with biscuits, subsequently assaulting and killing her, leaving her body 500 metres from the rice mill. Local residents identified the girl and informed the police. An investigation is ongoing, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem.
