The Telangana Government has announced a new policy to bolster the education system in all government schools, an official press release stated. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed Education Secretary Burra Venkatesham to devise a three-year plan to upgrade these schools.

CM Reddy has called for proposals to establish 'semi-residential schools' in addition to 'integrated residential schools.' He suggested that Anganwadi centres should offer education up to the 3rd standard, akin to play schools, and recommended the recruitment of an additional teacher at these centers.

The policy aims to provide educational facilities within students' native villages, with transportation for those attending semi-residential schools. Officials are to consult educational experts and initiate pilot projects in select mandals. The CM also instructed the use of government and CRS funds to enhance student facilities.

In another significant move, CM Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu released over Rs 6,000 crore for farmers' loan waivers, marking a historic step for Telangana. Mallu stated this achievement will be remembered as a landmark in national history, highlighting Telangana as a model state.

Previously governed by the BRS Party, the State had implemented a Rs one lakh loan waiver scheme over five years. However, the new Congress government has taken considerable strides in fulfilling its election promises, including this unprecedented Rs 2 lakh loan waiver at one go, distinguishing Telangana in agricultural support.
