A fresh batch of pilgrims departed for the Amarnath Yatra from the Panthachowk Srinagar base camp on Saturday, navigating under tight security measures.
"I have come for the Amarnath Yatra from Mumbai via the Baltal route. The arrangements are excellent with smooth travel, food, and accommodation facilities," said Monika Agarwal, a pilgrim. Hemanta, another pilgrim who started his journey from Nashik, appreciated the extensive food arrangements made by security forces.
"We landed on July 13 and after staying at the BSF camp, proceeded through Pahalgam to Baltal. The Jammu and Kashmir Police provided significant support and the arrangements for food were unparalleled," noted Hemanta. The Amarnath Yatra, organized by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, is taking place amid an uptick in terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, yet pilgrims remain satisfied with the services provided.
