Inclusive Union Budget 2024-25 Praised by Tripura CM
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha lauds the Union Budget 2024-25, emphasizing its comprehensive focus on the development of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The budget, presented by Nirmala Sitharaman, aims at infrastructure, skill development, and employment, breaking new grounds for India's economic future.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha hailed the Union Budget for the financial year 2024-25, calling it an inclusive plan aimed at uplifting the poor, youth, farmers, and Nari Shakti. "The budget for the financial year 2024-25 presented on Tuesday is genuinely people-oriented. It significantly focuses on the overall development of underprivileged sections, women, and farmers. My gratitude to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for crafting such an inclusive budget," said CM Saha.
He highlighted the budget's emphasis on infrastructure and skill development. "Special attention has been paid towards employment. This holistic approach is clearly visible in this year's budget," he added.
CM Saha remarked that the country has never seen a budget like this before. "This visionary and inclusive budget fortifies the foundation of a 5-trillion economy. It plays a pivotal role in achieving the dream of a developed India, marking a significant step towards inclusive growth," he stated.
Nirmala Sitharaman delivered her record seventh consecutive Union Budget 2024-25 on Tuesday during the Parliament's Budget Session. She made history as the first finance minister to present seven consecutive budget speeches, surpassing former Prime Minister Morarji Desai's record of six from 1959 to 1964. The budget allocates Rs 3 lakh crore for schemes benefiting women and girls, and announces water supply, sewerage, and waste management projects for 100 major cities. Additionally, Rs. 2.66 lakh crore is earmarked for rural development, including over 100 new branches of Indian Post Payment Banks in the Northeast region.
