BJP MPs from Karnataka have voiced strong objections to the state government's decision to rename Ramanagara district to Bengaluru South. Iranna Kadadi described the move as a 'political game' by the Deputy Chief Minister.
Lahar Singh Siroya also questioned the necessity of the change. He expressed apprehension about the motives behind the decision, stating that the current issues faced by Bengaluru should not extend to the new district.
Pralhad Joshi condemned the decision, suggesting it reflects the Congress party's opposition to the name 'Ram'. He urged the government to revoke the proposal, warning of significant opposition from the BJP.
