District Magistrate of Ballia, Praveen Kumar Lakshyakar, stated that the earlier incident occurred on the morning of July 27 as students were en route to school in a pickup van. The vehicle went out of control and rammed into a parked truck. Several children were critically injured, with two being referred to Varanasi for advanced care and the rest remaining under intensive treatment at the district hospital's ICU and Critical Care Unit.
