BCCL Targets Rs 40,000 Crore Topline by FY'30 with Diversified Growth Strategy
Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, aims to achieve a topline of Rs 40,000 crore by FY'30. The company plans to increase production from 41 million tonnes to over 100 million tonnes per year and diversify into coal bed methane and solar power. BCCL also reported its first-ever dividend payment and a net profit of Rs 1,564 crore for FY'24.
Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, is aiming for a topline of Rs 40,000 crore by the fiscal year 2030, supported by increased volume and diversification strategies.
The company plans to ramp up its production capacity from the current 41 million tonnes per year to over 100 million tonnes, backed by a capital expenditure of Rs 3,000 crore by FY'30. In the fiscal year 2023-24, BCCL produced 41.1 million tonnes of raw coal and aims to achieve 45 million tonnes in the current fiscal year, said Chairman and Managing Director, Samiran Dutta.
BCCL is also focusing on coal bed methane (CBM) and solar power as part of its diversification strategy. Test drilling for Jharia CBM Block-1 will begin by September. Additionally, BCCL paid its first-ever dividend of Rs 44.43 crore to its parent company after achieving a net profit of Rs 1,564 crore for FY'24.
