Key Legislative Bills and Ministry Discussions Set to Dominate Parliament Sessions

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri is set to introduce the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2024, in Rajya Sabha on Monday. The amendment aims to update the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi will present the Comptroller and Auditor General's report on the Information Systems Audit of selected Central Public Sector Enterprises. Papers from multiple ministries will also be tabled by Union Ministers Shripad Yesso Naik, L Murugan, Satish Chandra Dubey, Sanjay Seth, Tokhan Sahu, and Murlidhar Mohol.
The Rajya Sabha will hold extensive discussions on the workings of several key ministries, including agriculture, new and renewable energy, and cooperation. TMC MP Derek O'Brien, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala, and DMK MP Tiruchi Siva will raise their respective ministry topics.
In Lok Sabha, Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will introduce the Readjustment of Representation of Scheduled Tribes in Assembly Constituencies of Goa Bill, 2024, to ensure effective democratic participation of Scheduled Tribe members as per Article 332 of the Constitution.
Further motions include Union Minister Giriraj Singh's proposal for electing two members to the National Jute Board and Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya's proposal for elections to the Employees' State Insurance Corporation. Papers for various ministries will also be laid on the table by Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jayant Chaudhary, Jitin Prasada, and others.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which began on July 22, is scheduled to conclude on August 12. (ANI)
