Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off and took part in a half marathon held in Rewari on Sunday. He emphasized that such events inspire enthusiasm among children and keep young people away from drugs.

'A marathon event was organized in Rewari, drawing thousands of young participants,' said CM Saini. 'Winners were felicitated. Events like these spark enthusiasm in children and keep youth drug-free. PM Modi's 'Fit India' campaign is benefitting the nation,' he told reporters. Saini also announced the start of 'Tiranga Yatra' and encouraged citizens to display flags at their homes on August 15. 'In the last decade under PM Modi, the nation has become safer and stronger with various infrastructural advancements aiming to uplift the underprivileged,' he added.

Saini highlighted that youths are now securing jobs without paying commissions and demonstrating high spirits. He noted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched 'Har Ghar Tiranga' nationwide, urging citizens to hoist the tricolour at homes, shops, and offices.

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign for the 78th Independence Day on August 15. In his 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' address on July 28, PM Modi called on all Indians to join the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

'Har Ghar Tiranga' is an initiative under 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,' launched in 2021 to mark the 75th year of India's independence. The campaign encourages citizens to bring the Tiranga home to evoke patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag. (ANI)
