ED Attaches Rs 96 Lakh Assets of Contractors in Nagaland PWD Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized immovable assets worth Rs 96 lakh linked to Nagaland PWD contractors involved in the Kohima High Court Complex construction misappropriation case. The properties are suspected proceeds of crime, with chargesheets filed by the CBI against multiple individuals for misusing public funds.

The Enforcement Directorate has seized immovable assets valued at Rs 96 lakh from two contractors associated with Nagaland's Public Works Department (PWD). The contractors are under scrutiny for alleged misappropriation of public funds during the construction of the new High Court Complex in Kohima.
According to the ED, the accused contractors engaged in criminal activities that resulted in a wrongful financial loss to the government and illicit financial gains for themselves. The Dimapur Sub Zonal Office led the property attachment after an inquiry was initiated, based on an FIR by the CBI's Anti-Corruption Branch in Imphal. The inquiry revealed misappropriation of public money amounting to Rs 3.61 crore during the construction project.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed multiple chargesheets in this case. Contractor Avituo Sekhose and PWD Engineers Er. Yapang Jamir, Er. M.I Tongjok Ao, and Er. K Nikato Assumi are charged with causing a loss of Rs 80.25 lakh. Another chargesheet implicates contractors Thepfusatuo Rio, Mhalelio Rio, and Vibeilietuo Kets for misappropriating Rs 29.68 lakh.
