Violent Clash in Pratapgarh: Gunshot and Head Injuries Reported

A violent altercation in Ghotarsi Village, Pratapgarh, left one man critically injured with a gunshot wound and another with severe head injuries. Police are investigating the incident rooted in an old rivalry.

A violent clash erupted in Ghotarsi Village, Pratapgarh, resulting in one man sustaining a critical gunshot wound and another person receiving severe head injuries, police reported on Sunday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Herambh Joshi noted that the incident involved two youths, Ali Hussain and Saddam, who were attending a social program and had a long-standing rivalry. According to Joshi, Saddam's group fired three shots during the brawl, one of which struck Ali Hussain in the leg, critically injuring him. Following first aid, Hussain was referred to Udaipur for further treatment.

Meanwhile, Saddam suffered serious head injuries after being struck with a stick by members of the opposing group. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter, with further details awaited.
