Four people have died and 24 were injured after a truck tyre burst on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) in the Dankaur area, police reported on Monday. The truck was carrying approximately 30 people when the accident occurred.

"24 people were injured and 4 people died following a truck tyre burst on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway near Dankaur. The truck had about 30 people on board," stated the Noida Police. Emergency services swiftly arrived, transporting the injured to the nearest hospital.

The damaged truck has since been cleared from the highway and moved to a safe location, according to police officials. The deceased have been sent for postmortem examinations. Further investigations are underway.
