BSF Chief Surveys Jammu IB, Lauds Troops' Vigilance

Director General of Border Security Force Daljit Singh Chawdhary inspected the security along the Jammu International Border. During his two-day visit starting August 21, he reviewed operational readiness in Samba, Kathua, and Sunderbani sectors and praised troops for their dedication at a 'Sainik Sammelan'.

Director General of Border Security Force, Daljit Singh Chawdhary, has conducted a thorough review of the security situation along the Jammu International Border (IB). The BSF chief visited various Border Outposts and observed the operational preparedness of field formations in the Samba-Kathua and Sunderbani sectors during his two-day tour to the Jammu frontier, which commenced on August 21.

Chawdhary, a 1990-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre officer recently assigned additional charge of the border guarding force, engaged with BSF Sector commanders and Battalion commanders to discuss border management. He was briefed on key aspects of border security, including the prevailing security scenario along the Jammu IB.

Earlier on Thursday, the Director General addressed a 'Sainik Sammelan' at the frontier headquarters, where he commended the troops for their dedication and urged them to maintain effective border domination to thwart anti-national activities. Following his appointment, Chawdhary also visited the India-Bangladesh border in North 24 Parganas district and the Sunderbans area of West Bengal to assess BSF's operational readiness in response to changing conditions in the neighboring country.

The visit highlighted the BSF's commitment to safeguarding India's borders and maintaining regional peace and security. (ANI)
