Power Grid Corporation Acquires Rajasthan Transmission Projects
The Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired the project special purpose vehicles (SPVs) Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III Transmission Ltd. through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The projects aim to strengthen the transmission system interconnecting the respective substations in Rajasthan, operating on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.

State-owned Power Grid Corporation on Friday announced its acquisition of project special purpose vehicle (SPV) Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III Transmission Ltd. through tariff-based competitive bidding.
Following its successful bid, Power Grid Corporation of India has taken over Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III Transmission Ltd from PFC Consulting, the bid process coordinator, as stated in a regulatory filing.
The SPV will be tasked with strengthening the transmission system for interconnections between Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III complexes on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis. The project includes a 765kV D/C transmission line linking the substations and associated bays extension work in Rajasthan.
