The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a crucial meeting at its headquarters in New Delhi to prepare for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Top party leaders, including national president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and MP Biplab Deb, attended the session.
Senior state leaders like Surendra Nagar, Mohan Lal Badoli, Rao Inderjit Singh, and Phanindranath Sharma discussed strategies to field candidates in various constituencies. A party source revealed that the focus is on identifying strong candidates to challenge the opposition effectively. Leaders presented area-wise analyses and suggestions on potential candidates.
Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli emphasized that comprehensive feedback is being collected from all party levels before the central leadership makes the final decision. Furthermore, former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leaders Devender Singh Babli, Sunil Sangwan, and Sanjay Kablana officially joined the BJP, welcomed by Arun Singh and Badoli. The Election Commission of India adjusted the polling date to October 5, with vote counting for Haryana now scheduled for October 8.
