Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, Vice Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, affirmed the army's preparedness for new threats, especially along the Pakistan and China borders. The comments were made during the Passing Out Parade at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai.

The ceremony witnessed 258 Officer Cadets and 39 Women Officer Cadets being commissioned into various Arms and Services of the Indian Army. Additionally, 15 cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries completed their training. The event highlighted the culmination of rigorous training and the transformation of cadets into future military leaders.

Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani reviewed the parade, presenting various awards to outstanding cadets and emphasizing the importance of selfless service, excellence, and empathy in military leadership. The newly commissioned officers pledged allegiance to the Constitution of India, vowing to safeguard the nation. The event was attended by dignitaries, proud parents, and members of the diplomatic community.

The Vice Chief stressed the need for embracing new technologies and maintaining discipline, urging newly commissioned officers to lead by example. He acknowledged the contributions of parents and emphasized the critical role of empathy in effective leadership. He concluded by encouraging cadets to adapt mentally and technically to the demands of modern warfare to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation.
