The Tibetan government-in-exile organized a ceremonial event to welcome Arunachal Pradesh's leaders in Dharamshala on Saturday. The dignitaries, including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, participated in long-life prayers for the Dalai Lama at the main Tibetan temple, Tsuglagkhang, located in this north Indian hill town.
Following the prayer ceremony, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) hosted a formal event to officially welcome the Arunachal Pradesh delegation. The group featured Tapir Gao, MP and co-convener of the All Party Indian Parliamentary Forum for Tibet; Pasang Dorjee Sona, Minister for Education and Tourism; and Zingnu Namchoom, MLA Namsai.
Sikyong and CTA president Pempa Tsering extended his heartfelt gratitude to the leaders and people of Arunachal Pradesh for organizing the long-life prayer. In his address, CM Khandu shared insights from his audience with the Dalai Lama, commended the CTA's tireless work for the Tibetan cause, and emphasized the unique bond between Tibet and Arunachal Pradesh.
