BJP President's Son Involvement in Nagpur Car Crash Sparks Inquiry
Sanket Bawankule, son of Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, was involved in a car crash in Nagpur. Police have questioned him and confirmed his presence in the car. The incident involved multiple vehicle collisions, and a formal investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rahul Madane of Nagpur announced that Sanket Bawankule, son of Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, admitted his presence in a luxury car involved in a vehicle collision. The incident took place at 12.30 am on September 9 in Nagpur's Ramdaspeth area.
The white Audi, registered under Sanket's name, allegedly hit several vehicles. Three occupants, including Sanket, were questioned, and the driver, Arjun Hawre, was arrested but later released on bail. Their medical samples have been sent to a Forensic Science Laboratory, and the report is awaited.
Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule emphasized the need for proper action regardless of the accused's identity. The Sitabuldi police have filed a case of rash driving against Arjun Haware and Ronit Chintanwar. The Maharashtra Congress has shared a video alleging an attempt to protect the accused.
