NTPC Commissions Significant Solar Projects in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan
NTPC has announced the commissioning of 50 MW of the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh and 98.78 MW of the 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. These projects were executed by NTPC's subsidiaries, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited respectively, elevating NTPC's total installed capacity to 76,442.78 MW.
State-run power giant NTPC on Tuesday announced the commissioning of a 50 MW capacity out of the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh.
The company has further commissioned 98.78 MW out of the 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 Solar PV Project at Bikaner in Rajasthan, according to an exchange filing.
The Shajapur Solar Project is spearheaded by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a step-down subsidiary of NTPC, while the Shambu ki Burj-2 Solar PV Project is managed by NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned NTPC subsidiary. With these developments, NTPC's total installed and commercial capacity has surged to 76,442.78 MW.
