King Salman Successfully Recovers from Lung Inflammation
King Salman of Saudi Arabia has recovered after medical tests for lung inflammation, according to the state news agency. The 88-year-old monarch previously received medical care for this condition in May. The Saudi royal court confirmed his health status while Crown Prince Mohammed reassured about his father's recovery.
Saudi Arabia's King Salman has made a full recovery following recent medical tests for lung inflammation. This was confirmed by the state news agency, citing the royal court.
The royal court had earlier announced that the 88-year-old king, who leads the world's top oil exporter and a crucial U.S. ally, would undergo these tests. This marks the second time this year that King Salman has sought medical care for lung inflammation, having previously done so in May.
Notably, he chaired a cabinet meeting on September 24, just a month after a royal decree allowing the cabinet to meet in his and the prime minister's absence. During a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reassured attendees about the king's health, according to state media reports.
