Essar Group's Ultra Gas and Energy is set to significantly expand its presence in the LNG retail market by increasing its outlets from the current three to ten by the year 2025. This move forms part of a broader strategy to cater to a growing fleet of LNG-powered vehicles.
Currently, Ultra Gas and Energy operates LNG outlets in Vallam (Chennai), Anand (Gujarat), and Bhilwara (Rajasthan). The company's expansion is complemented by the efforts of Greenline, an entity dedicated to green mobility under the Essar umbrella, which plans to boost its fleet of LNG-powered trucks to 1,000 from the existing over 500 by March FY25.
GreenLine CEO, Anand Mimani, emphasized the environmental impact, stating, 'By expanding our fleet of LNG-powered trucks and building critical fuelling infrastructure across the country, we are playing a central role in reducing India's carbon emissions and supporting the transition to a cleaner, greener logistics industry.'
