Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virender Kumar, paid a visit to Jammu to distribute vital Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits and Ayushman health cards to Sewer and Septic Tank Workers (SSWs). These distributions are part of the National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem (NAMASTE) scheme, aiming to elevate the safety and dignity of sanitation workers.
During his visit, Kumar met with the Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss initiatives ensuring dignity and empowerment for Safai Karamcharis.
