As the United States grants approval for Tahawwur Rana's extradition to India, significant strides are made in untangling the conspiracy of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, according to Congress MP Manish Tewari. Tewari, however, emphasizes the crucial challenge of bringing mastermind Hafiz Saeed from Pakistan to justice.

The extradition news arrives amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi's diplomatic visit to the US, where shared commitments to combat terrorism globally were reiterated with President Donald Trump. Rana, a Pakistani-origin businessman, was incriminated for his involvement in the attacks that claimed 174 lives, including international victims, highlighting the necessity of international cooperation against terrorism.

Nonetheless, the visit's diplomatic achievements are under scrutiny as President Trump announces reciprocal tariffs, affecting US-India trade dynamics. At a joint press conference, Trump justified the move as a bid to establish equitable trade practices, asserting that all countries, including India, must face similar tariffs to those they impose. Trade frictions involving the EU and China, however, remain more complex, according to the President, due to more substantial tariffs and unjust conduct.
