Tripura played host to its third annual State-level Fish Festival, a significant event aimed at enhancing the region's fisheries sector and urging local fish farmers to boost production. Held in Agartala, the festival provided a platform to engage participants, bolster community efforts, and address the disparity between fish demand and supply.

Sudhangshu Das, Tripura's Minister of Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Animal Resource Development, and Fisheries, emphasized the government's commitment to supporting local fish farmers. He highlighted that while fish production is high, it still falls short of burgeoning demand. The festival, he noted, serves as an initiative to bridge this gap and encourage wider participation.

In a related development, Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha, during an oath-taking ceremony at Agartala's Government Nursing College, reiterated the government's dedication to fortifying the health sector. The state is prioritizing the creation of a health hub and improving patient care, strengthening infrastructure to meet escalating healthcare needs.
