Tragic Discovery: GST Officer and Family Found Dead in Kerala

In a tragic development, authorities discovered three bodies at the Central Excise and Customs Quarters in Eechamukku, Kakkanad, located in Ernakulam district. Officials identified the deceased as Manish Vijay, Additional Commissioner of GST, alongside his mother Shakuntala and sister Shalini, all originating from Jharkhand.

Initial reports indicate that the bodies were badly decomposed upon discovery. They reveal a grim scene: Manish Vijay and his sister Shalini were found hanging, while their mother lay motionless on the bed. The local police have initiated a case of unnatural death and are delving into the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.

Speaking to ANI, Commissioner of Police Putta Vimaladitya confirmed the discovery, stating, "On 20th February, we found three bodies in the Customs quarters. A case of unnatural death has been registered. The relatives have been informed, and investigations are underway, including an inquest and post-mortem to determine the cause of death."
